Toolbox, The Modern Freelance Workplace

by OddMods Staff on June 25, 2010

Torino, a town formerly known for its industrial presence with the Fiat car, has now migrated to the freelance industry. Understanding the difference between a casual and professional work environment can be difficult when you work in your pajamas at your home. Toolbox, a newly developed office space, brings freelancers together to work in a unified professional environment.

The design, by Caterina Tiazzoldi, attempts to update the complex to fit the current industry. Rather than the traditional office complex with separate offices, the new complex opens it up to create a much more social atmosphere.

Over 44 individual workstations encompass the work area. There are also a variety of printer rooms, informal social areas, and break rooms to encourage employees to engage with others.

The overall design is very modern, encompassing an incredible layout accompanied by depth and structural style that is next to none. The thought of having offices that promote a social atmosphere not only increases productivity, but keeps spirits high in the complex.
