Green Home & Tender by Marc Even

by OddMods Staff on November 10, 2010

You might call Marc Even the king of floating homes. Even just completed yet another floating home, entitled “Green Home & Tender,” adding yet another custom home to his portfolio.

Here is what the designer had to say about the project:

Both main and guest homes are built on state of the art concrete floats with concrete planters and built-in concrete accent walls. The balance of their homes were requested to be kept very simple, utilizing a mix of commercial/industrial with rough sawn reverse board and bat siding to give the home a country feel. The interior is very open with walls that do not go higher than 7′ and floors made of re-claimed 1′x6′ sanded and sealed Ship Lap Fir.

The Stained Glu-Lam ceiling is at 9′-6″ with spiral ducting, corrugated galvanized metal with wood accents on the perimeter, and mono-point lighting. The owners selected an Artesian Finish concrete product that is used on floors, walls, see through direct vent fireplace, and kitchen countertops. Other elements of the homes include: a glass tile shower in the master bath, upper lighting to accent the roof, a second deck galvanized rail with hot tub, and a private front courtyard with a storage shed, connecting the main home to the tender via a walkway.”

  • I was really amaze seeing the setting this home. I could feel that the ambiance of this place is really relaxing. I'm sure that many people would like to come and see it on personal.

  • Most people buy too much insurance coverage, mistakenly covering the
ground their residence is located on. Don't use the appraised value of
your home which includes the value of your building lot or acreage.
    When
deciding how much insurance coverage to purchase, opt for an amount
which will allow you to rebuild your home and also replace all of your
    personal belongings.

  •  Home interior decor and design is often a highly sensitive subject as
many people feel that they really know what they are doing but the
result is quite the contrary. Items that you already own like candles
and figurines can be easily re-arranged and placed on shelves and
corners to create impressive dramatic effects and also improve lighting
in areas that are often neglected due to obstructions or whichever.

  • I get it clear idea about this topic.Above all the points are explained very clear mind.

  • There are thousands of ways to improve the look of our home that would dramatically alter the mood as well. One way is by adding window treatments, a certain feature that most of us find appealing and would also fit our financial allotment. Window treatments are basically what give highlight to a certain space since they control the natural lighting inside our house.
